Become a C.A.R.T. Volunteer

Becoming a Cumberland County Child Abduction Response Team volunteer member is a great way to help protect our children. As a volunteer you will be part of a special group that will assist law enforcement and emergency workers in the case of a lost or abducted child which occurs within Cumberland County. It is the volunteers and community members that male CART a reality and without you, it could not be done. Congratulations on having the courage and compassion to help your law enforcement community continue to protect our most precious assets, our children.

As A Team Member What Will I Be Doing

As a CART volunteer you will have many critical duties in helping recover a lost or abducted child. Below are some of the possibilities.

Assist Law Enforcement

As a volunteer you will be assisting law enforcement and emergency personnel with the many duties that entail a missing child investigation.

Man the Phones

You may be asked to man phones to take information from the public and pass this information on to law enforcement.

Helping Search

One of the most critical duties of any CART activation is the search. Field searches can reveal evidence and help recover a child.

Coordinate the Team

You may be tasked with being a team coordinator/ liaison between volunteers and officials on the scene of a missing or abducted child.
